Legendary Irish shoegaze band My Bloody Valentine still haven’t released anything since their landmark 1991 album Loveless, despite the lengthy rumors of a new album coming out this year. However, there is some positive news for fans just waiting for anything from the Kevin Shields-led project.

In a recent interview with Drowned In Sound, bassist Debbie Googe says that the new album still has legs, but is going through a very slow process before any kind of release. She went on to explain that it's actually Shields doing the vast majority of the work, noting that she hasn't even played on the new album. She did reveal, however, that she's heard more from Primal Scream's (with whom Googe has been playing recently) new album than the former.

Fans can, however, celebrate the newly scheduled tour dates for My Bloody Valentine in the UK, Japan, and Australia, all of which you can see below.
