Better At Night was one of the hidden gem albums of 2018, and Natalie Evans has already followed that up with the superlatively exquisite single ‘Pavements’ earlier this year. Now news reaches us at The 405 that Small Pond are to re-issue her limited debut EP from 2013 on 30th August.

The six tracks that make up Houses showcase Evans’ ability to harness intricate melodies with a wistfulness which belies the seeming sense of innocence at the heart of much of her work. In short, it’s bloody lovely, and you should pick up a copy when it comes out. The EP will be available on a range of formats, including a vinyl version for the first time and can be pre-ordered here.

Much of her recorded and live work to date has been as a solo performer, but as a part of the special edition release of Houses some live recordings, played with a full band, are included. To whet your appetite, here is an exclusive first look at a live stripped-back band performance of 'Houses', which is all sorts of wonderful.
