Sixteen years ago, Nelly released his debut album Country Grammar and now, the album has been certified diamond by the RIAA. The St. Louis rapper's project is only the eighth rap album of all time to sell 10 million copies and Nelly now joins the ranks of Eminem, OutKast and Tupac.

The seven other rap albums that have gone diamond are The Notorious B.I.G.'s Life After Death, OutKast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show, Tupac's All Eyez On Me and Greatest Hits and randomly M.C. Hammer’s Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em.
