A Crow Looked At Me by Mount Eerie

We were going to write something poignant about the backstory to this album, but we remembered this tweet from Danny Brown and hit the embed button instead.

The Wild by Raekwon

"I look at today's industry as being a jungle," said Raekwon in a recent interview with All Hip Hop. "There are different rules. Me being out in the wild for so long and looking at what it is today, it’s just different. All that I’m doing is expressing myself in the greatest way to let people know that I still get busy on the mic, I can still swing around this jungle and still be the king at what I do."

The king is still alive.

Finding Me Finding You by Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble

I'm of the generation that looked to record labels for recommendations. You'd find a band you liked, find out what label they were on and went from there. It's not that the current generation doesn't have that (they have Spotify playlists and a million blogs to guide them), but just an elaborate way of saying that this album is out on Drag City, and I trust them with my life.

However, Drag City aren't tapped into the streaming world, so you won't find this release on Apple or Spotify. So like we did back in the '90s - check out the music video below, and if you like what you hear, take a calculated risk by buying it.
