As hard as it is not to liken her sound to the dessert that Australian newcomer Martha Brown takes her moniker from, Banoffee really is a delicious serving of tantalising beats drizzled with caramel smooth vocals – an ode to singer’s old school R&B influences. Repping the Melbourne new music scene which brought us the likes of Chet Faker and rising star Oscar Key Sung, who coincidentally is a co-producer on the singer’s forthcoming EP, Banoffee is an exciting talent who is set to follow suit in gaining greater acclaim. Her edgy pop vibes are consequent of the perfect blend of indie and R&B on minimal electronic beats to produce a distinct and fresh sound.

Banoffee's latest track, 'Got It', is like a personal mantra of self-assurance. The nonchalant delivery and repetition of lyrics on syncopated beats make the track captivating, and leaves the listener confident that she's got it all under control.
