After LCD Soundsystem called it quits, James Murphy has found himself working in the fields of film score composing, coffee crafting, and even making music from tennis data. We all had hoped for a brief second that he could add "working with New Order" to that list, but unfortunately that isn't true. The rumors began after a recent video interview with New Order via Consequence of Sound hit the internet where it sounded like things were 100% in the works between the two iconic musicians, but those rumors have been flat out squashed.

The interview question asked if the band had any interest in working with Murphy, and Bernard Sumner said "I can't talk about any of that just yet, but there is news. We're in the process" which seems preeetty convincing, doesn't it? However, DFA Records tweeted earlier on yesterday that it wasn't happening. Check the tweet and watch the interview below.
