New Pyramids Records Presents: Chapter 24 Double A Side 7"
Listen to Chapter 24 on Myspace
It is with great pleasure that The 405 can announce both the birth of its sister record label New Pyramid Records and simultaneously its, and Chapter 24's, debut release.
Chapter 24’s debut single ‘Gregory/Down In The Sea’ (NP001) will be released on 7” vinyl, and digitally through the New Pyramid website and iTunes. Each format will come bundled with the video for 'Gregory' and additionally in the digital version a hi-res PDF of the gorgeous artwork (back sleeve above) designed by illustrator Adrian Dutt and a video download link. Physical copies are limited to 300 and are hand numbered, and the first 50 vinyl will be signed by the band. The single is currently available for pre-order and will be released in mid July, with the digital version being released late June.
The band will be showcasing old and new material at the single launch party in late July, venue and date TBC. Watch this space folks! Live Dates: 16th June – Toast @ Camden Proud 2nd July – The Library (Islington) 21st July – Death Disco @ Notting Hill Arts Club About the label It's happened before and it'll happen again; a blog or a website (occasionally even a magazine) become so enamoured with a band that they decide to take matters into their own hands and bloody well make a little imprint to put something out by said band. Well, that's pretty much what has happened to us here at The 405 with Chapter 24. The result, as you can see, will shortly be released in a limited vinyl run, and digitally of course, so you can also listen to it on one of these new fangled empeethree players. We'll be putting out released in the future that's for sure, and all the while with a dead keen eye on excellent design/illustration provided, ideally, by some of the wonderful talent we've met or featured through this very website (Adrian being a perfect fit to start with). If only we could somehow work film into it we'd really be cannily tying together the 405 brand identities eh? In all seriousness, both this release and those of the future would never have been (or will be) possible without the support and talent of a number of people, not least of which comes from our readers (that's you!) without whom there'd be no website, no record label, no events and no...well, you'll find out about the last one later on I guess. We're all about collaboration and we're relishing the chance to give voice to our favourite artists in all sense of the word as we go forward, and fingers crossed people actually buy the stuff so we can keep it up! Before we sign off, let me quickly re-iterate the offer. Gorgeous hand drawn artwork, limited run, hand numbered, one-of-a-kind catalogue number and sweet, sweet tunes from an awesome band. Please don't forget to check out Adrian Dutt's website if you like what you see artwork wise.
