In a recent interview with SPIN, TV On The Radio frontman Tunde Adebimpe revealed that the band has finished a batch of new material going towards a new album.

It'll be the first from the band since 2011's Nine Types Of Light, which was also the first new album from the band since the death of bass player Gerard Smith. Smith died shortly after the release of the last album after being diagnosed with lung cancer in March 2011, with the band, as of yet, not finding a full permanent replacement.

It'll also be another significant change for the band, which is leaving its longtime label Interscope. The band logically moved to Dave Sitek's label Federal Prism, which will also be releasing two full-length Kelis albums this year.

The details were sparse in the interview, but an album should be out sometime later this year.
