Player Piano, the second album from New Jersey artist Dayve Hawk aka Memory Tapes, is due out on July 4 via Something In Construction Records, they've announced. Apparently it'll move away from the first album's dancey electro sounds to something with a little more melody. Dayve will be performing it live this summer, along with tracks from acclaimed debut Seek Magic.

The ATP and Portishead curated event I'll Be Your Mirror, which takes place July 23 and 24 at London's Alexandra Palace, have announced the latest additions to the event's line-up. Joining Portishead, who will headline both nights, will be Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and a collaboration between graphic novelist Alan Moore and Sun O))) musician Stephen O'Malley. There'll also be screenings shown of Submarine, which will be introduced by writer/director and IT Crowd star Richard Ayoade, and documentary The First Movie, which will also be introduced by its director, Mark Cousins. Tickets cost £59 for each night, or £100 for the weekend.

Young & Lost Club label mates Noah & The Whale and Exlovers will be heading out on tour together in May. Exlovers have announced that they'll be supporting Charlie Fink and friends around the UK and Ireland; with stops including Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and Sheffield, among others. They'll also be supporting Pete & the Pirates at London's Heaven venue on May 26, and will themselves headline London's Roundhouse on May 16. Neon Gold Records and Heavyroc Music have announced a new monthly club night to take place in New York City. Popshop kicks off tonight at Tamany Hall, NY, if anyone fancies a quick pop across the pond, and will feature live performances from ANR, Savior Adore, and Walk The Moon. It'll continue on the first Thursday of every month. Tix $10 advanced, $13 on the door, or free after midnight, apparently.

Smith Westerns have unveiled a short film, recorded last summer during the recording of their second album Dye It Blonde. Directed by Ray Concepcion, Smith Westerns: Die With Your Chin Up features interviews with the band members and a brief look into the studio.
