After the departure of their former vocalist and guitarist Ed Black, Ninetails took a couple years off to record new material and rework their sound. The fruits of their labor is their new EP Quiet Confidence, which is out now on Pond Life. The band let people know on their Facebook to "remember to listen on good headphones if possible, or on a good stereo system" and with good reason - the EP is a gorgeous, ornate, and intricate. If you don't listen closely, you might miss something, and you can get something new from it on every listen as well. Jordan Balaber explains that "It feels very much like something we needed to get out of our system; a culmination of the many euphoric, overwhelming, achey, chest-grabbing musical moments that we've encountered and digested over the years.” Stream it below.
