Nominations for the Nordic Music Prize have now been announced, and bands like First Aid Kit, Neneh Cherry & the Thing, and Choir of Young Believers will vie for best album of the 2012. The award, which was first introduced in 2010, was inspired by the British and Irish Mercury Prize and showcases the unique offerings of the Nordic music industry. This year's nominees features three bands from Norway, two from Sweden, two from Finland, two from Iceland, and two from Denmark. The full list of nominees is below.
