New York City is honouring Rap legend Notorious B.I.G. by renaming Brooklyn's Crispus Attucks Playground as Christopher “Biggie” Wallace Courts. During the ceremony, which took place earlier this week, the city's councilman Robert Cornegy explained that the act follows a promise he made to Biggie's mother to honour her son's legacy. "We lived in the same building at 226 St. James Place in Brooklyn," Cornegy had previously said in a statement. "So when he passed his mother made me her director. I promised to keep his name honoured."

Next time you're in Brooklyn, don't forget to drop by.
