These chords, the soft fuzz of them caressing your skin; that bass, jouncing with untroubled funk through the empty dancefloors of your mind; that beat, explosively resounding, cutting hi-hats and toms ornamenting it all; vocals from Michael Lovett (IRL name of London-based NZCA LINES) heartfelt and weaving in between the neon cascades of sound he has constructed — all in all, it's a high-flying, sky-soaring, expansive unknown horizon sound. Glassy steel-pan tumblings decorate the scene with gentle synth flutes.

And the video is just perfect. One of the best I've seen in a while. The music basically is the soundtrack to this short film, a city of fluorescent colours, a new planet populated just by two people – 'New Atmosphere' indeed. I absolutely loved/was obsessed with NZCA LINES self-titled album of 2012, so it's real nice to hear stuff from him again. This is the latest single and it's out 8th December via Moshi Moshi.

  • He'll also be playing 3 dates with Metronomy in December:
  • 4th Dec - Glasgow, UK - O2 Academy
  • 5th Dec - London, UK - Alexandra Palace
  • 6th December - Manchester, UK - Albert Hall
