As of now, the Saturday night headline slot of Glastonbury is still open, and after months of speculation and rumours, the frontman of one of those rumours may have gone ahead and confirmed the worst, and I say "the worst" because his name is Liam Gallagher. Everyone's least favourite Gallagher brother took to Twitter last night (it really seems like Twitter would be something Liam Gallagher hates) to drum up some publicity by spelling out his old band's name letter by letter before finally tweeting "OASIS LG".

The tweets obviously had the desired effect, and encouraged people to put it together with the 20th anniversary of their debut album Definitely Maybe and ongoing Glastonbury rumours for themselves. His words, well word, had gained enough steam to prompt bookmakers Ladbrokers and Paddy Power to stop taking bets on Oasis headlining the festival, but who knows what that means. I guess an Oasis reunion might mean we don't have to hear from Oasis Jr. (Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds) and Oasis Jr. Jr. (Beady Eye) for a while, but today has certainly been a bad one for British Rock reunions.
