Streaming services still have a long way to go until their future's are secured, according to Nielsen Music's recently released annual 360 Report, that found that services like Spotify and Apple Music are far from music fans' norm. The poll of over 3,000 US fans proved that price is a major barrier stopping fans from signing on, as 83% mentioned cost as the major factor that attracts or hinders a fan from signing up, while 46% stated they wouldn't subscribe to a service they deemed "too expensive." Why would they when fans can still stream music for free?

As seen within the new report, US music fans still consider music to be freely available, despite the industry's continual efforts to legitimize streaming.
