With a reported third album speculated to be in the near future, UK odds-makers are betting that Adele will be the formative headliner for next year's Glastonbury Music Festival.

This year's festival was met on top by The Who and Kanye West, so a change in gender direction may be a delightful change of pace. The 27-year-old pop megastar is four years off her tremendous Grammy-winning release 21, which was promptly followed by a mini-hiatus - seemingly only amping up the proper hype of her new work.

UK betting agency Ladbrokes said of its speculation, "Adele’s going to be rolling in the Glastonbury mud next year if this gamble is on the money. Punters have piled into her odds, and with tickets on sale in a couple of weeks Festival organisers may have let a cat out of the bag."

The current runner-up, Foo Fighters, were forced to cancel last year's appearance after frontman Dave Grohl's injury. Coldplay, Blur, Ed Sheeran, AC/DC, Oasis, Prince, and Radiohead follow closely behind in Ladbrokes' current odds.

Next year's Glastonbury festival is scheduled for June 22nd – 26th in Pilton, UK.
