Indie-folk trio Ohtis released their album Curve of Earth earlier this year, and have just put out a deluxe version that features new tracks and covers. Curve of Earth is an album full of honest and raw songs about addiction, and the openness of Sam Swinson's songwriting has connected with many listeners. Next week those in the UK will have the opportunity to have an even more palpable acquaintaince as they arrive for a UK tour.

If you need some convincing that you need to see Ohtis on this tour, then look no further than the beautiful version of album opener 'Pervert Blood' that we're premiering below. The trio are in unplugged mode, sitting on a Detroit porch and playing into a warm suburban night. All of this serves to highlight Swinson's voice and lyricism, which is harsh and unforgiving of his own shortcomings ("i once asked the lord jesus christ to punch out my lights and cursed god out of curiosity/ the only time i'm not completely full of shit"), but is precious for its honesty. In this homely surrounding, looking healthy and backed by his two closest musical allies, the result is that this version of 'Pervert Blood' overcomes the darkness and gives us a feeling of wholesomeness.

The video was directed by Ohtis member Adam Pressley, while the director of photography was Katie Barkel.
