Onyx Collective have announced their new EP Lower East Suite Part One, which is the first of a trilogy of releases to be put out by Big Dada. The New York collective created by saxophonist Isaiah Barr back in 2014. It often features an interchangeable ensemble, which has been cutting its teeth in the Big Apple’s DIY Jazz scene and historic downtown Manhattan jazz clubs over the past few years.

'Fruit Stand', the lead single, sees a blissful bassline keep pace as Barr’s saxophone floats over gentle snares and drums. The minimal single pays homage to New York’s historic jazz scene whilst adding its own unique contemporary twist on the genre.

Lower East Suite Part One is out now via Big Dada.
