We had a bit of a lighter week this week gig wise after last weeks' bumper size feature. We still managed to catch some of the finest current guitar groups about in the shape of Errors, Spector and We Were Promised Jetpacks as well as the wonky pop of Everything Everything.

"The loss of the wonderfully harsh, mentally strenuous beats which penetrated the majority of older Errors songs, did leave something of a cavity in the sound. It'll be interesting then, to see how the band play their field tonight..."

"Pop is not a dirty word, so the oft-repeated mantra goes. And it's not; but far too much of the time in the present day if you have a brief listen to Top 40, you'll be greeted with insipid - albeit well-produced - homogenous, electronic fodder that is derivative as it is crass."
