The Flaming Lips, Noah & The Whale, Justice, The Rapture, Kelis… just a taste of the musical goodness this year’s Parklife Weekender is bringing to the table, and it doesn’t just stop there. Yet again, the hype for the Parklife Weekender is mega, and rightly so. Two days of great music, food, dance and all other things in between; June the 9th and 10th are definitely days that should be spent here. Now successfully in its 3rd year and only getting bigger and better, Parklife Weekender has established itself as one of the biggest festivals in the north; bringing a vast majority of music and people together for one big party. With seven different stages to choose from there is lots of music for your ears from all different angles; for some main stage action you can sing along with Dizzee Rascal (who can resist?) or dance your way down to the Wax:On tent for Maya Jane Coles ultimate house. Fake Blood, Soul Clap (YES), Joy Orbison, Ghostpoet and new kids on the block Friends are also amongst the huge line up, and for a complete steal – just £64.50 for a weekend ticket. Each stage hosted by different music promoters means business, as our variety boxes get a big tick. My personal favourites being Julio Bashmore and Tom Vek I’m already giddy and will be back to report of the weekend’s antics.

This year’s Parklife Weekender is looking pretty tasty, and I think we can all agree it’s going to be a rather good one, rain or more rain. Saturday tickets have already been snapped up so you better act quickly if you don’t want to miss out. For the full line up, more information and your tickets head here.

More bands you should be dancing along with over the weekend:

Leeds four-piece Alt-J (∆) are not going to disappoint, tour support with Ghostpoet and Wild Beasts already in the bag these guys are getting quite the following, and we bloody love them. For some beautiful music and a voice so dreamy your heart will melt…

Factory Floor will be playing the in Now Wave arena on the Sunday and this trio certainly knows how to do it. I’d advise getting down early and grabbing a good spot.

Over on the main stage on Sunday this lady will be bringing the soul (and dub-step influenced emotional wonders). Delilah’s a force to be reckoned with this summer so catching a live set is a must-do.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Julio Bashmore is one cool man. I’ve been fortunate to catch a few of his sets and WOW. This guy needs no introduction…
