Paul Simon and his wife of more than two decades, Edie Brickell, were arrested earlier today for disorderly conduct following a domestic dispute. Police were called to their home on Saturday and officers found minor injuries when they arrived at their place of residence. The authorities described the altercation as “a very common domestic dispute” and felt that they were "obligated to make an arrest.”

A judge later determined that the couple were not a threat to each other and declined to issue a provocative. Simon and Brickell were given a misdemeanor summons and appeared in court earlier today, where they were spotted holding hands. They will be returning to court on 16 May.
