This year sees the 25th anniversary of Paul Simon's Graceland album, the groundbreaking project which won a Grammy in 1987 for Best Album before its title track scooped the rare feat of Best Song a year later. The album itself sold 14 million copies worldwide and featured collaborations with African group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. To celebrate the anniversary, special edition packages of the album will be reissued on June 4th. Available on both CD and vinyl the packages will also include a DVD of the Joe Berlinger documentary ‘Under African Skies’. The documentary will be premiered at Sundance London next month and follows the creation of the album and its influence over the past quarter of a century. You can pre-order and find more details on the album repackages here.

Paul Simon has also announced that he will play the album in full during his Hard Rock Calling headline set this summer and will be joined by both Jimmy Cliff and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Watch the video to one of the tracks from the album, starring 80’s comic Chevy Chase, below.
