It seems biblical films are the order of the day for the film industry. With Darren Aronofsky’s Noah and Ridley Scott and Steven Spielberg carrying on with the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt, you'd think there wouldn't be much room for any more biblical films. But you'd be wrong.

Paul Verhoeven (Total Recall, Starship Troopers) has found backing and a writer for his controversial look at the life of Jesus Christ. Apparently Muse Productions’ Chris Hanley (American Pyscho) has come forward to finance the film and Roger Avary (Pulp Fiction) has come on board to write it.
