Seattle-based musician Mike Hadreas, a.k.a. Perfume Genius has announced he'll be releasing a new album this September. Too Bright follows 2012's Put Your Back N 2 It and is due out on September 22nd via Turnstile.

Recorded with Adrian Utley of Portishead and featuring John Parish on several tracks, Too Bright is described in the press release as a "stunning about-face which brings to mind audacious career-shift albums like Kate Bush's The Dreaming or Scott Walker’s Tilt, records which walk the tightrope between pure songwriting and overt experimentation."

He's also shared the album's first preview track, 'Queen', that is now available for you to stream below.

Too Bright tracklisting is as follows:

  • i. 'I Decline'
  • ii. 'Queen'
  • iii. 'Fool'
  • iv. 'No Good'
  • v. 'My Body'
  • vi. 'Don’t Let Them In'
  • vii. 'Grid'
  • viii. 'Longpig'
  • ix. 'I’m a Mother'
  • x. 'Too Bright'
