Katy Perry's video for her newest single 'Roar' from upcoming album Prism has been a major hit since it premiered, but not everybody is happy with the jungle-themed clip.

Animal rights organization PETA has accused the singer of being cruel to the animals used in the video, and supports the accusation with the questionable track record of the company that supplied the animals for the shoot: "Animals used for entertainment endure horrific cruelty and suffer from extreme confinement and violent training methods. They often become stressed and anxious when hauled around and forced into unfamiliar and frightening situations," explains PETA spokeswoman Merrilee Burke.

Perry, who had previously been championed by PETA along with her ex-husband Russell Brand due to their vegetarian lifestyle, has yet to comment on the accusations. Prism is set to hit the stores October 22nd.
