The 405 headed to Denmark's second city of Aarhus to take-in SPOT Festival for a rather pleasant few days of basking in the sounds from a raft of upcoming Scandinavian acts, while also basking in a glorious bout of spring sunshine that flooded the University city.

Aarhus is the joint European Capital of Culture for 2017, and quite frankly has a lot going for it. Highlights included a spell-bounding set by Sigrid, Siv Jakobsen's orchestra that covered Britney's 'Toxic', and the utterly surreal charms of Norwegian singer-songwriter/story-teller Nils Bech and his numerous props used onstage. Other non-music highlights included an outstanding (and massive) vegan burger at Mikuna, the Botanical Gardens, and the outdoor area of Godsbanen that came into its own in the perfect weather.

Tim Boddy created this Photo Essay from his time there.
