In an effort to ensure releases will continue to be distributed across the UK, PIAS has announced it is to team up with a new partner, Proper Music Distribution.

The fire the ripped through the Sony DADC warehouse in Enfield last week destroyed 3.25 million CDs, vinyl releases and rare boxed sets from thousands of artists, and over 150 independent labels. However PIAS have been hard at work over the last eight days and will use a new distribution centre in nearby Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, which will be fully functional as of next Monday (August 22nd).

The partnership will see Proper fulfill certain important areas of the business such as specialist and catalogue; however things will revert back to the regular state once it is deemed fit to do so.

As you are no doubt aware the music community is pulling together at this difficult time and a lot of people have put in a lot of effort to assist in this disaster. None more so than Label Love, who you should take a few minutes to visit.
