Pit Ponies are a London five-piece who dream up their soulful tracks in a neighbour-less charity shop in Upminster. Less neighbours, more noise. We're happy to be premiering the video for 'Mountains', which is taken from their forthcoming debut album Magnificent Second Occupation.

Part of the Trashmouth gang (Fat White Family etc), these guys are creating simple tracks with maximum impact. It's emotionally raw and lyrically honest, stuffed with enough guts to really make you listen. The video features a cameo from Pat Lyons, the wild man that accepted Fat White Family's NME award last year. The whole vibe here is pretty refreshing; it's a great, meaningful track that doesn't lose sight of humour for one second.

Magnificent Second Occupation is released through Trashmouth Records on August 7th. You can also catch them live in London on the following dates:

  • 9th July - The Stags Head (Hoxton)
  • 18th July - Vinyl Deptford (instore album launch)
  • 31st July - Trashmouth At The Windmill (Brixton)
  • 13th August - The Stags Head (Hoxton)
