With Pitchfork Music Festival Paris having recently bolstered its lineup with the addition of acts like Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Car Seat Headrest and Snail Mail, excitement has today been further increased by the unveiling of the first acts for the Avant-Garde section of the festival.

Pitchfork Avant-Garde is a recent addition to their annual Paris festival, taking place in the city's smaller venues in the days leading up to the main event and showcasing some up and comers like Hatchie, Grand Pax and Biig Piig - as well as giving the opportunity to see some bigger-name acts like Hop Along and Trevor Powers in smaller venues. The venues (Café de la Danse, Badaboum, Pan Piper, Supersonic, Pop-Up!, Le Réservoir, La Chapelle des Lombards) are all within 5 minutes' walk from each other, meaning that hopping around to see as many of these acts as you want is a definite possibility - and the price of only €15 a day makes it a steal.

Pitchfork Avant-Garde takes place on October 30-31, and these are the acts that have been announced so far:
