The Pixies have seen a revolving door of members lately after Kim Deal's departure. They first replaced her with Kim Shattuck, and then Paz Lenchantin. However, despite all of that nonsense, the band say that "the door is open" for Deal's return. Makes you think they shouldn't have gotten rid of her in the first place, doesn't it?

In an interview with the NME, David Lovering said “When Kim left, we wished her well, and we also said she’s welcome back any time,” adding “I have no idea if she will or not. I guess if she did right now, it would be a little tough situation to be in, because we’re so happy with Paz. But it’s open… we have a lot of goodwill.” That's not to say they haven't been happy with the job Lanchantin has done, as Joey Santiago mused “If we had to pick a new bass player– if we HAVE to, absolutely– it would be Paz. I would get her vote and there wouldn’t be no other tryouts. It would just be her.”
