There could've been a fifth participant of Nirvana's female-fronted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction performance. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Dave Grohl revealed PJ Harvey was invited to play with the band alongside Joan Jett, Kim Gordon, Annie Clark, and Lorde, but she had to turn them down

"Kurt loved PJ Harvey. We had always imagined playing our song 'Milk It' from In Utero with her. It's a twisted song, almost like something that could have been on her record Rid of Me, which was also produced by Steve Albini. It just seemed to pair up so well. Unfortunately, she couldn't make it."

Her absence is a shame for a thousands reasons, especially once you've learned that her imagined version of 'Milk It' was kind of the whole inspiration for the whole project:

"We thought, 'Wait, it has to be all women. Don't even ask anyone else. If we can fill the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance with these incredible women singing Nirvana songs, then we'll have achieved our own revolution.'"
