Police in Australia have decided to investigate a prank photo taken of Lily Allen. Billboard reported that the photo was taken while Allen was on tour in Australia. They reported that while officers escorted Allen through Gold Coast Airport in Queensland, the singer asked them to handcuff her while she was on her knees for a photo.

Allen later uploaded the photo to both her Instagram and Twitter accounts. When she later arrived in the North Byron Parklands to perform at the Splendour in the Grass festival, she was apprehended by police.

Speaking to the New Zealand Herald, a spokesperson for the Australian Federal Police made the following comments: "At [Allen's] request members involved placed open handcuffs for a photo opportunity. It appears the members involved were caught in the moment and standard protocol were breached. It is subject to internal processes."

No further comments have been made by either party at this time. The incriminating photo has also been removed from both Allen's Instagram and Twitter accounts.
