This video was filmed by Ian Cameron, Jonathan Durand and André Bendahan. It was edited by André Bendahan. The music is by Best Fern & Nancy Pants.

I feel like I should open with those involved in making the preview video because over the course of its three minutes I developed a longing to go to Pop Montreal. A deep yearning to get involved. Which I consider to be a great achievement because Montreal is on the other side of the world and it usually takes a strong argument to get me to my local. Watch for yourself and see what happens:

The festival has announced the first wave of bands to play this year's festival, the choice ones are listed here: RZA, Weyes Blood, Austra, Serpentwithfeet, Mount Eerie, Jay Som, Vagabon, Thee Oh Sees, The Besnard Lakes, Public Service Broadcasting, Hurray for the Riff Raff etc etc etc and the list goes on and will grow and grow. Last year there were over 400 bands playing over the course of 5 days. Holy shit. That's all I have to say about that.

Of course, it's not just a music festival, they never are. Pop Montreal has artists, designers, industry chats with interesting folks. All manner of insights and examples of the good stuff in life over 5 days in September.
