Pretty Sister lays claim to a pretty bananas origin story -- one that includes being born on Los Angeles' 405 freeway in a 1968 Buick LaSabre with Zapp playing in the background. But as true or untrue as that story may be, it tells you everything you need to know about the artist who specializes in a delicious, delirious, brand of dance funk that has earned him substantial critical and commercial acclaim. On his latest single, 'Tension,' Pretty Sister deploys sharp instrumental edges with delightful vocal harmonies that will make even the most stubborn asses shake.

According to Pretty Sister, which is a moniker for the prolific DJ/singer/producer Zak Waters, 'Tension' is a song for the summer, a song all about getting down and having some fun.

"'Tension' is a celebratory ode to letting loose," he explains. "I’ve had this one ready for a while now and I couldn’t think of a better song to kick off and lead this next chapter. It’s just the beginning though. Stay tuned for what’s sure to be one wild summer."
