Hopefully most of you have checked off one major summer festival from your list since kicking off in March with SXSW, if not, trekking to local gems is fine too. Who doesn't want an excuse to celebrate summer with some sun and tunes?

California has been infamous for its emerging electronic music scene that one has to fully experience and immerse themselves in. You can float around and barely avoid hearing the letters LIB come up in conversations. LIB aka Lightning in a Bottle can be described as some put it, a pre-game to Burning Man. What does it entail? "A celebration of Art, Sustainability, Music, Performance, and Life Itself."

Unlike any other festival, presented by The Do Lab, once a little project started in a DTLA warehouse by two brothers, they have now built a culture around the festival experience. Crafting art structures and producing events, they've done everything from interactive environments, event productions and creative lighting design.

Securing a designated Do Lab Stage at Coachella now has definitely placed them on the map, putting their signature stamp on everything they're attached to. LIB is bound to grow and has already become a festival globetrotters seek.

This year at a new location in Temecula, has a few people scratching their heads if this will change anything - either way it's soon to blow up. The musical lineup features a variety of artists from hometown hopefuls to underground favorites and major players. On the bill are festival regulars, Purity Ring, Brooklyn sensation Nicholas Jaar and fresh from Electric Daisy Carnival, Rusko. Emerging favorites include Goldroom, Blackbird Blackbird and Giraffage, who has been on the radar recently releasing solid remixes and touring with the likes of XXYYXX and Slow Magic on a European circuit.

The party wouldn't be complete though without performance troupe, Lucent Dossier Experience - be sure to check out one of their mesmerizing, over-the-top sets.

Weekend, one day, and camping passes are still available here.
