The administrators of Prince's estate are looking to sell a number of his properties, but not Paisley Park. A court filing on August 5 indicated that the famous Minneapolis property where Prince recorded and lived stated that it was originally among the properties listed to be sold but Bremer Trust soon issued the following statement:

"Bremer Trust, the special administrator for the Prince Rogers Nelson estate, has no plans to sell either Paisley Park or the property referred to as the Purple Rain house."
