Update: Prince has confirmed four UK arena shows for May. He's set to play the following dates with 3rdEyeGirl (tickets go on sale on Friday 2nd May at 12pm):

  • Birmingham LG Arena: 15th May
  • Manchester Phones 4u Arena: 16th May
  • Glasgow SSE Hydro on: 22nd May
  • Leeds First Direct Arena on 23rd May

Original Story:

After playing a series of surprise and mostly secret small shows in London and Manchester this February, Prince will return to the UK in May to play at least three more. This new batch of dates are thought to be taking place in Birmingham on May 15th, Manchester on May 16th and Leeds on May 23rd, but there's no word on what venues they'll be taking place at yet, if he'll be playing with 3RDEYEGIRL, or whether, unlike his shows in February, tickets will be available to purchase in advance.

This information is sure to fuel the rumours that Prince is set to be currently unnannounced Saturday night headliner at Glastonbury on June 28th, but he doesn't exactly match up with Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis' hint that the final headliner will be 'one of the biggest bands in the world', the again Arcade Fire don't exactly match Eavis original hint of; "[The headliners are] three bands who haven't played Glastonbury before," either. You might want to focus on the gap between the Manchester and Leeds shows instead, because unless Prince plans to take a full seven days off, it looks likely that a few more dates are going to get announced.
