Every so often, there seems to be a rock musician that epitomizes New York City: Lou Reed, The Ramones, The Strokes. QTY would seem to the band best poised to take up the mantle.

The band's latest single, 'Ornament,' is particularly reminiscent of Reed's Velvet Underground. The poetic lyrics and slow stomp give the track some serious oomph. Dan Lardner and Alex Niemetz split vocals and guitar duties, bringing it all together to create one of the year's best singles.

'Ornament' is the second single from QTY's upcoming 7", due out on April 28 through Dirty Hit. The group will release their debut album later this year.
