After finding out that 87% of all Burning Man attendees are white, the festival has again come under criticism. But not from an expected source.

Instead, Quiznos has produced a satirical ad that mocks the whole drop-out-for-a-weekend festival ethos, using characters from The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials in what is essentially faux trailer for a faux film called "The Burn Trials".

But Burning Man is not happy.

"We'll be coordinating with our legal team to see what action we can take," said Burning Man spokesperson Jim Graham Burni.

He continued:

"We are pretty proactive about protecting our 10 principles, one of which is decommodification. We get a quite a number of requests each year from companies wanting to gift participants with their product or to capture imagery or video of their products at the event, and we turn them all down."
