There's a 10-year gap between R.E.M.'s two MTV Unplugged appearances, but a new release is set to bring them closer together.

Michael Stipe's band are set to release both sets on April 19th as a very special Record Store Day release. The 4xLP collection will include 11 songs that weren't broadcast on MTV.

Although 'Losing My Religion' appears on both sets, their 1991 performance relies mostly on their Out of Time album, while the second MTV Unplugged appearance highlighted R.E.M.'s 2001 album Reveal. Mike Mills will be signing copies at Bull Moose (Scarborough, Maine) on the day of the release, and both CD and digital versions will be released on May 20th.
