Broadcast every Thursday from 10pm to 1am, this is BBC Radio 1's Residency, and specifically the news that they are refreshing its line-up for 2015.

Already featuring a lot of talent, the constantly-changing Residency is, I gues,s a way to keep things new at Radio 1. At least late at night on a Thursday, if never any other time.

Flying Lotus will be kicking off the first night of music alongside recent XL signing, Kaytranda, on 8th January 2015. FlyLo seemed happy: "I still can't believe this is about to happen. It'll be a pleasure to invade the UK airwaves for the months ahead."

Kaytranda was also pretty stoked about it. "During my high school days, I used to listen to my favourite DJs mixes on BBC and now, here I am," he said, adding: "Damn. I’m going to play the best music for y'all."

Also joining is Jon Hopkins, Hannah Wants and Solomun, with returning Residents George FitzGerald, Skream and Heidi. Unfortunately, SOHN, Moxie, Steve Angello, Jackmaster, Martin Garrix and James Blake will be leaving the residency.

But don't worry, Mr. James Blake is on Radio 1 tonight at 10pm.

We've really enjoyed his Residency, actually, so go check out one of his many downloadable shows – this one's from March.
