When London duo Rainer (real passport names: Rebekah Raa and Nic Nell) released their first EP, Hope/Satin/Glass/Dreams, in 2013 it was difficult not to pay attention. The pair met through mutual friends and after Raa's old band split up they decided to have a bash at making music together.

Their debut album, Water, is coming out next month and mixes melancholia with smooth-pop and works as a record you tackle as a whole. That is not to say that its individual parts don't hold their heads up high on their own: take, for instance, this latest taster from it - 'Marry' - which is a sumptuous introducer to the full set.

We'd love to see a music video for this one in due course.

'Water' is out on 18 May via Kissability / Algebra.
