Raynes are a three-piece band consisting of two Americans and a Brit. Debuting their single ‘Lemon Drop’, the trio are showcasing their unique fusion of modern pop with a dose of infectious Americana.

North Dakota natives Mat Charley and Joe Berger, along with the UK’s very own Mark Race, have established a sound which is set to create an epidemic of ear-worms. ‘Lemon Drop’ which was produced by Mighty Mike (Lana Del Rey, The Neighbourhood, Dua Lipa) and mastered by Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, Vampire Weekend, Shawn Mendes), emits an utterly contagious and uplifting essence through its use of toe-tapping folk melodies and sugary pop soundscapes. With Race’s impressive vocals, the singer narrates the ever so familiar story of chasing fame in the city of angels. The single shines with radiant violin and organic guitars, accompanied with soaring vocal harmonies.

Being labelled as a ‘transatlantic trio’ the band aim to create a sound combining each individual influences and diverse cultural upbringings and they have certainly succeeded. For a debut release we’re excited to see what Raynes has to offer next.
