Panda Bear - Panda Bear Meet The Grim Reaper

Record Shopping with Any Other I think this is my favourite Panda Bear’s record so far. The singles are amazing ('Boys Latin' and 'Mr Noah') and the whole record is really good. Also: Sonic Boom co-produced the record, so this is a plus.

Coltrane - Both Directions At Once: The Lost Album

Record Shopping with Any Other Coltrane’s lost and literally found! Lucky us. I loved listening to all the different versions of 'Impressions'. I’m a huge fan of Coltrane ('A Love Supreme' will always be my favourite) so this was a great gift to the world.

Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music For Airports

Record Shopping with Any Other This is the record which made me fall in love with Brian Eno – and if I’m being honest, the fact that Robert Wyatt played the acoustic piano on the first track really got me. It’s highly emotional, I love love love this record.

Van Morrison - Astral Weeks

Record Shopping with Any Other It’s a masterpiece. I don’t know what else to say about this. I remember listening to this for the first time when I was 15 and feeling completely astonished. Same feeling every time I listen to it.

Björk - Utopia

Record Shopping with Any OtherOkay, so: Björk is a goddess. Either you like her or not, you can’t deny that she’s of the most precious things happened to music in this century. I saw her at Primavera Sound 2018 performing this record and it was unbelievable. The arrangements are perfect, the flute section is incredible, and the songs are definitely well-written.

David Bowie - Hunky Dory

Record Shopping with Any OtherThis is the first Bowie record I ever listened to. It’s pop, it’s rock, it’s glam. 'Oh! You Pretty Things' is one of my favourite Bowie songs ever.

Any Other plays Brighton's The Great Escape this May. Listen to 'Traveling Hard' below.
