The National - Trouble Will Find Me (Ben)

Trouble Will Find Me has been one of my favourite albums for the past two years. It feels genuine and gives me this overwhelming nostalgia I can’t seem to get enough of.

Ólafur Arnalds - Island Songs (Ben)

Island Songs is Ólafur Arnalds most recent album. We worked with Ólafur in Reykjavik on our debut album that's coming in January. It takes me back to that period of my life and leaves me in a sort of tranquil place. Beautiful album.

Portishead - Dummy (Tom)

My sisters first introduced me to this album back in the days of the Sony Walkman. I used to just listen to it over and over again. Beth Gibbon's voice was so captivating, so unconventional and so different to what I was listening to at the time. It's one of the reasons I chose this record because when I hear it now I feel it's just as fresh as when I first heard it.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (Tom)

Pink Floyd has always been one of my favourite bands. I seem to rediscover this album all the time. I'd go as far as saying it's one of the most inspirational albums I've heard. Lyrically and melodically it is flawless.

Radiohead - In Rainbows (Ben and Tom)

This has to be the best Radiohead record in our opinion. It’s a beautiful flowing album we'll always go back to. The first three songs are quite intense but then it sounds as though a light bulb switches on in Thom Yorke's head and it just takes us away.

Aquilo's debut album, Silhouettes, is out January 27th via Island Records. Check out a live version of 'Blindside' below.
