Record Shopping with RHYE at Rough Trade East Neil Young - Harvest: I’ve been listening to him since I was a little kid. He’s a Canadian hometown hero, but he’s also one of the most poignant songwriters. He’s definitely someone I aspire to be like as a songwriter.

Record Shopping with RHYE at Rough Trade East Marvin Gaye - What's Going On: This hit me at such a perfect time in my life at age 18. The idea of allowing the rhythm section to support the vocals...it’s such beautiful song structure. It’s an album I’ll never get tired of. It’s timeless.

Record Shopping with RHYE at Rough Trade East Björk - Medulla: One of the most inventive record I’ve ever heard. It’s so bold. It’s a record that could have been a gimmick but it absolutely is not. The melodies are so powerful.

A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders: I absolutely loved this record in high school. The production is so incredible. I still listen to it to this day. I’ve never grown tired of. It still works.

Record Shopping with RHYE at Rough Trade East Fleetwood Mac - Rumours: Literally one of the best sounding records that exits. They set such a high bar. It’s something that I listen to as a reminder to focus on warmth in production and not just getting someone’s attention.

Record Shopping with RHYE at Rough Trade EastBoards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children: I love the way this record incorporates mysticism without people understanding it. I love the hidden messages. It cracked open a whole genre of gentle music that wasn’t as prominent before it.
