Thee Oh Sees

I went to see Thee Oh Sees play at the Forum in London about a year ago and they totally blew me away! They have just released this live album which means I can recreate the experience from the comfort of my living room.

Swans

One of the best things about vinyl is being able to hold the physical thing, the artwork becomes a part of the experience; it isn't just a thumbnail on your computer. The covers of every one of Swans albums is fantastic, not only do they work as images in their own right but reflect Swans' sound perfectly.

Sufjan Stevens

The king of the modern concept album! On this record tells stories straight from the Bible.

Courtney Barnett

For me this EP is the best thing Courtney Barnett has released. She's my favourite lyricist at the moment.

Kurt Vile

When this album came out I became obsessed and listened to it every day, I still can't get bored of it. This album was a huge influence on the music that I wanted to make, it's a perfect mix of multilayered guitars and twinkly synths.

Bert Jansch

When I was 16 I learnt to play 'Running From Home' from this album which is based around the Clawhammer picking technique on guitar. It opened up a whole new way of playing guitar for me and is pretty much the only way I play guitar now! All my songs contain some kind of clawhammer picking. I wouldn't still be making music without this album.
