It's indeed a thing of beauty, it still works, and if you happen to have loads of money just lying around, it can be yours. A recording console, more specifically an Abbey Road Studios EMI TG12345 MK IV (of which only two were made and referred to as "the greatest console ever constructed" by engineer Brian Gibson), is going to be auctioned by Bonhams at the TCM Presents…Rock and Roll Through the Lens sale that is taking place on March 24th in New York.

An important detail for collectors: this was the console used to record Pink Floyd's seminal album Dark Side of the Moon, and as it was a constant presence at Abbey Road's studio two, artists like Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Kate Bush, also recorded with it extensively.

You can and go take a peak of the beast at Bonhams Knightsbridge from March 19th until its auction day.
