This year, Red Bull Music Academy's month-long series of concerts, club nights, events and lectures will take place in Montreal, with applications open on Monday, January 18. The second term of RBMA 2015 in Paris was postponed after November's attacks on the city, while new dates have yet to be unveiled.

"Montreal has been selected as this year’s home of RBMA because of the Quebec city’s reputation for artistic experimentalism. With a rich history rooted in disco, jazz, folk, hip-hop and techno, Montreal is celebrated as a breeding ground for developing and sustaining the sounds of influential artists like Oscar Peterson, Leonard Cohen, Rufus Wainwright and Arcade Fire," Red Bull announced.
