Yes, Richard D. James has decided to march out an alternative moniker that isn't Aphex Twin but that is AFX. He released a few EPs under that name (two in 1993 and '95 respectively) as well as the mammoth Analord series of recordings from 2009.

Now it turns out James will be releasing some new material as AFX, namely an EP called orphaned deejay selek (2006-2008) (out 21st August), following the release of 2014 Aphex Twin album Syro and the Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt 2 EP, and of course a bunch of unreleased tracks, too.
